RAYMOND GEE

director of OPERATIONs

Raymond joins us from Noodle Theory Provisions of Oakland where he was the former Bar Manager and Assistant General Manager. His most recent position at Hakkasan SF provides insight into restaurant and bar operations on a corporate scale. With a keen eye for systems, Raymond oversees day-to-day operations as well as restaurant administration. In his off-duty time, you can find Raymond attending his latest dance class, walking Luna at the dog park, catching the newest Star Wars release, enjoying a bowl of Bún bò Huế, playing poker with the Boy Luck Club, entertaining his twin nieces and oldest nephew, and hitting the gym.

ALISON KWAN

director of finance

Much of Alison’s tenure in hospitality has been spent abroad in New Zealand and Australia. The former Venue Manager of Auckland's largest nightclub and bar, Alison also placed as a National Finalist for Diageo World Class NZ and Heaven Hill’s Bartender of the Year. Since moving to the Bay Area, Alison has found a home in the SF cocktail scene, adding True Laurel, Lazy Bear, Moongate Lounge, and other renowned establishments to her resume. When not buried in invoices, Alison enjoys female protagonist-led RPGs, creative writing, historical fiction, and anything fantasy/sci-fi.

JEREMY CHIU

partner

Jeremy was most recently part of the founding management team at Shinmai in Oakland and International Smoke (Mina Group) in San Francisco, where he honed his skills in both operations and project management. With a background in food tech and restaurant management, he is no stranger to restaurant operations. Jeremy also enjoys gaming, art, photography, and exploring the Bay Area food scene.

WILLIAM TSUI

beverage DIRECTOR

With over 10 years of bar experience, William comes to us from his most recent position as bar manager of Lazy Bear San Francisco. Shortly after refining his hospitality skills in the East Bay, William transitioned into the world of fine dining at establishments such as Michelin-recognized Rich Table, bringing with him a repertoire of signature cocktails that utilize the foraged and cultivated bounty of the Bay Area. Before opening Viridian, William also ran the bar programs at the five-starred Hotel Nikko and Jasper’s Corner Tap and Kitchen. William’s favorite pastimes include photography, gaming, manga, poker, fashion, things that go pew-pew, very fast cars, and high-powered vacuum cleaners.

luna

senior talent acquisition manager, technical

As one of the founding members of Viridian, Luna has been a key player in all aspects of technical talent acquisition and recruitment since our early beginnings. Luna’s role is crucial for ensuring positive candidate experiences, increasing employee retention, and maintaining high staff morale. With a contagious zeal for life, Luna’s passions include eating accidentally dropped food, dog toy quality control and testing, tug-of-war, hiking, swimming, and tennis balls.

teddy

chief of canine resources

Simultaneously a seasoned hospitality professional and a trailblazer of his emerging field, Teddy plays a pivotal role in leading our Canine Resources Department, developing doggie training programs, interviewing new puppies, and organizing pack-building activities. When it’s time to unwind, Teddy spends his time off napping, preparing for home invasion, enjoying gratuitous belly rubs, hunting for Chinese pastries left abandoned on kitchen countertops, and fighting Wong Choi.

wong choi

chief guard dog / head of security

A young, ambitious go-getter, Wong Choi seized the opportunity to be a part of Viridian’s core leadership team and is the newest member of our venture. Smart, savvy, and assertive, Wong Choi consistently strives to go above and beyond to secure Viridian’s perimeter and the fragile human counterparts that reside within. Fiercely loyal, Wong Choi time and time again applies himself as a bodily shield against foes such as dubious floating trash bags, pigeons, squirrels, rats, and skateboards. Although Wong Choi’s policy is to never let his guard down, he finds time to relax by curling up in his baby blankets, barking at strange dogs, staring out the window, and chewing on the bones of his enemies.

stanley pun

honorary chief director of decorations

A dedicated member of the Viridian family since the company’s inception, Stanley is the definition of loyal, trustworthy, and selfless. Currently Co-Director of AYPAL, a community-based organization working to empower Oakland’s low-income Asian and Pacific Islander immigrant and refugee families, Stanley is also a quintessential part of bringing the Viridian vision to life each day. Decorating is second nature to Stanley, and Red Envelope’s explosions of art and color are his signature calling cards. When not climbing up 20-foot ladders and risking it all to set the mood for our Wong Kar Wai-inspired bar restaurant, Stanley can be found rescuing the rest of our debaucherous co-founders from their own devices.
